Member of the Month: Emily Johnson - Holistic Nutritionist

The 5D Collective is filled with some incredible, passionate conscious humans and we're excited to be spotlighting them so you can learn more about the awesome folks you may meet at one of our monthly gatherings. October's Member of the Month is Emily Johnson, a holistic nutritionist.

1. Before we dive in, what’s your name, where are you based out of and how would you describe what you do? 

Emily Johnson. Vancouver. I am a holistic nutritionist that supports career driven women on beginning their health journeys. I focus on nutrition, stress management, kitchen confidence, self care, and prioritizing well being. I offer 1:1 sessions, group style coaching, and an online course "Clean Up Your Nutrition". I also am the host of the podcast "Newly Nutrition". 

 
2. How would your best friend describe you?  
 
From my bestie "A confident, motivated, independent gal who loves experiencing new things. Very dedicated to the important things in her life and supportive to friends/family."
 
3. What is the most rewarding part of your work?

Seeing clients make small improvements in their day to day that lead to major changes. Building a community, and sharing what I love most! Recipes, wellness inspiration, and nutrition education. I also love continuing my own education and learning as much as I can in the wellness space for my own interest!


4. When did you join The Collective and how did you find out about it?

 
I joined 5D the summer of 2021. I heard about it from Ariana Fotinakis- the queen herself! Someone I really look up to as a business owner and overall human being.

I am a manifesting generator! 
 
7. What would the autobiography of your life be titled?  
 
"Manifesting On Accident" 
 
8. Can you share an unexpected lesson from your entrepreneurial journey?
 
 Everything takes MUCH longer than you anticipate. Set realistic goals, timelines, and go in with a strategy to ensure you aren't wasting time or energy. I went all in as an entrepreneur and it was WILD! I didn't think my first few projects through, and I followed my intuition. Everything worked out in the end but I think it is really important to be honest with yourself when starting a new project. Estimate how long it will take to accomplish-then add 6 months on top of that!
 
9. What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
 
Simplify to amplify-whenever I am feeling stuck with something I like to just strip away things that aren't totally necessary in order to move forward. Keeping it simple is the way to go-ESPECIALLY when starting out. If something is feeling overwhelming, that is your sign to pivot, strip away, or change direction.
 
10. Who inspires you?
 
All the incredible entrepreneurs out there starting businesses and following their passion-it is not a walk in the park and is mentally very draining. Peloton instructors-goals!! Fitness instructors in general are all so uplifting, positive, and inspiring. Secretly want to be a fitness trainer! Maybe down the road. :)
